Role:
Adjunct Professor
Field of Research:
Climate Change Impact and Adaptation
Contact details:

Dr De Li Liu is a Principal Research Scientist with the Climate Research team of Climate Unit, New South Wales Department of Primary Industries. His research interests relate to modelling climate change impacts and developing adaptation strategies in agriculture, using both statistical downscaled climate projections and regional climate simulations. De Li has developed a weather-generator based statistical downscaling model (NWAI-WG) for climate change impact assessment. His current research also includes climate extremes and climate change risk assessment in primary industries, developing decision support systems for managing climate variability for farmers, modelling soil carbon sequestration, crop phenology and climate-plant-soil system modelling.
